Jelly Fish

I designed these earings last summer. I was at the beach for 2 weeks and due to some strange temperature of the water, at the end of the day there were quite a few huge jelly fish on the shore (dead...). My kids were so scared! I have always felt a particular attraction to these animals, they seem so fragile and vulnerable, but at the same time they can be so dangerous. Most of all what I love is the way they moove, so elegant, so unique, as if they were dancing in the water. And their "no color"...By the way, the earings are named Medusa, which means jelly fish in Spanish.

Estos pendientes los diseñé el verano pasado después de pasar 2 semanas en la playa. Debido a una extraña combinación de fenómenos aparecieron varias medusas muertas en la orilla, eran gigantes. Mis hijos estaban muy asustados, pero a mi son unos animales que siempre me han fascinado. Quizá por esa fragilidad y vulnerabilidad que aparentan, pero en el fondo pueden ser peligrosas. Lo que más me gusta de las medusas, son su moviento elegante, parece que bailan en el agua. Por cierto, los pendientes se llaman Medusa.
