A Story On Your Finger

I went to a meeting a few days ago and I was wearing one of my rings. Of course that I do wear my jewelry!
The woman that I was talking to asked me about it and I explained the story behind the ring. She told me it was so special to wear a piece on your finger, that is one of the body parts we see most with our eyes, that carried such a nice story. All my jewelry carries a story. A different one.

Tuve una reunión hace cosa de unos días y llevaba uno de mis anillos. La verdad es que si me pongo mis piezas, procuro hacer piezas que me gusten ponerme. La mujer que tenía delante me preguntó por mi anillo y le conté la historia del anillo, y creo que se quedó fascinada. Me dijo que era especial llevar un anillo con una historia, sobre todo en una parte del cuerpo que nos vemos continuamente. Todas mis piezas llevan una historia. Una distinta.

Just today

Just today as I was working I thought about my trip to NY in December. Here are some photos of it. NY is just a battery charger, a place where all dreams can happen.

PUPEK

There is something about the Arab prayers beed that has always fascinated me in many ways. It is not only the religious and mental connection to peace and joy that they linned with, lets say it´s spiritual sence, but also their physical touch. They are made of wood, stones, plastic, bones... In my collection of necklaces BABEL I am really enjoying making these so called "pupeks". By the way...that takes me to think that I have to start introducing my collection BABEL...

Los rosarios árabes siempre me han parecido una preciosidad de objeto. No solo por su conexión religiosa y espiritual hacia la felicidad y el bien estar, también por su estética. Se hacen de materiales como madera, piedras, cuentas, huesos...Entre las piezas que estoy creando de mi colección BABEL me encanta sumergirme en el mundo de los llamados "pupeks". Me doy cuenta que tengo que empezar a contaros más sobre esta colección...

Was thinking todat how many similarities there are out there and that we do not see. In Istambul I took these photos and the colors are just powerful. One has to keep eyes open to see it all.

Little one

During the month of December 2010 I had a little nice piece in the magazine TELVA. I made some extra pieces and you can purchase them in the web, just search for the Telva Promotion. The cord is pure silk and the stone is soft pink quartz, very femenine and special. Part of the sale was given for a NGO.

Durtante el mes de Diciembre 2010 he tenido una de mis piezas en la revista TELVA, destinando un parte de las ventas para una ONG. Se trata de una pieza sencilla y muy femenina, el cordón es de seda natural y la peidra es cuarzo rosa, color maquillage.

Weather

It has been a really cold day today here. So cold that the wind went right into the bones, I could feel my hands frozen. It was hard to concentrate on work, so I decided to check some photos of a nice trip to the island of Mallorca I did some years ago. I love their countryside houses, the buganville so pink and climbing all over the place. Kids feet are special to me, they are like soft jelly gums. I love them.

Hoy ha hecho un día de viento gélido en Segovia. Se me quedaban las manos heladas por tan solo salir al exterior a por leña  y no me concentraba en mi estudio. Asi que he pasado un agradable rato revisando unas fotos de un verano que fuimos a Mallorca. Una isla preciosa, con las masías desperdigadas por el campo, y donde la buganvilla crece libremente por cualquier parte. Me chiflan los pies de los niños. Son como gominolas blanditas.
